NEWSFLASH!

June is almost over and I'm just making the first entry, oh well. Yeah, it's been that kind of year…

Mom's medical situation is stable and she is on chemo, but the abdominal wound is healing very slowly. Plus, at last week's appointment with the surgeon, he confirmed that she has a hernia, so that's going to be another operation to look forward to, probably in about two months when she finishes the chemo treatment course.

Last week I got my contributor copies of Best New Romantic Fantasy 2, and countersigned contract. The book looks great, and there are some excellent stories by Sarah Monette, Richard Parks, Delia Sherman, Esther Friesner, Sarah Prineas, Haddayr Copley-Woods, Sonya Taaffe, Eugie Foster, and many others.

My collection Salt of the Air got a nice review in Tangent Online.

I also received a small but sweet $14.15 check for MZB Darkover Fictionwise royalties and the $65 payment for "The Story of Love" from Wildside Press.

As of this moment Norilana Books has 85 titles in print. Coming next week is the release of Modean Moon's novel Evermore, a wonderfully intense love story that mixes up history and mystery into a transcendent other. In addition, I am very proud of the cover jacket for this one.
