About Me
(I cribbed this bio from the one included in the reprinting of The Devil & Dan Cooley. Feel free to make fun of my laziness. Lord knows my family demonstrates no self control in this regard.)
From a very early age Walter Spence channeled
his fascination with life, the universe, and everything into an obsession with
the dramatic and literary arts. After years of splitting his attentions between
being on the stage and writing for it he chose writing, which had the advantage
of not requiring multiple relocations in order to practice it.
After joining the Unknown Writer's Group (which later became Schrodinger's
Petshop as more and more of its members became published), he was invited to
participate in a collaboration with the esteemed Holly Lisle on The Devil & Dan
Cooley, book two of the Devil's Point novels.
Since then he has written one novel, on momentary hiatus for future revision,
titled The Caballa, which he describes as "The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe, as written by Stephen King." He is currently preparing for ebook
publication his labor of
love, the vampire novel House of Shadows, the first in a projected twelve
volume series tentatively titled "The Breed Wars." An excerpt can be
found in the Up and Coming section of this web site.
