Two-hour brainstorming session: $50
Send me a basic plot outline or character sketch, and I will read it over and make comments. Then we'll set up a time for an hour of phone-coaching, where we'll discuss characters and plotting and work through problems. This can be designed to suit your particular needs and answer your specific questions.
Four-hour proposal session: $100
This works best if you have a complete proposal draft (three chapters and a synopsis). I'll review that in email and make comments. Then we'll set up a time for two hours of phone-coaching, going over the entire proposal and discussing each scene. The synopsis will get special attention if you want plotting help. This can be designed to suit your particular needs and answer your specific questions.
Editing: I am a professional editor with years of experience and an MA in English, with advanced courses in grammar, linguistics, and composition. If you're worried about your grammar and punctuation, I can help. If you want to pump up your dialogue, improve your prose, sharpen your scenes, we can work on that also.
Editing is generally $3 a page for line (comprehensive) editing. Proofreading is $1.50 a page. To set up an editing project, contact me at rasley@juno.com
