The project that (briefly) had the working title Purge is, alas, not to be.
Why?
That most ancient and basic of reasons -- creative differences. The producer and the director wanted to approach the material in a such fashion that I no longer thought I was the appropriate writer for the project. No acrimony, no yelling. These things happen. Sorry there's not more of a story here.
Will "Purge" ever be made? Well, that depends. "Purge" was the title that I used for a treatment that I wrote. That treatment is now being turned into a novel (by me, I mean). Whether or not InMotion Pictures and the director will proceed with the project as they envision it is their business. I hope they do, or hope they proceed with something, because they're talented individuals. And I hope I get to work with them on another project in the future.
