I'm beginning to make my list of Things To Remember to Take to Clarion.

Coffee (I'm picky about my coffee. I like coffee with chicory, made southern style. CDM is the best I've found--and cheap.)

Mug warmer. Cold coffee is nasty.

Twill

Okay, let me stop and explain that last one. You see, after four years of working nights (and sleeping days) I'm attuned to sleeping in pitch-black. Because, of course, when you have to sleep days, you usually (if you're smart) block off the window so that no light can come in. Since Tiffany would probably get upset if I painted over her window here, I have a big piece of black twill hung over the window. No light gets through that puppy. So, I plan on bringing that twill with me to Seattle so that I can sleep.

Bite-guard. (I grind my teeth when I sleep, so my dentist gave me this plastic retainer thingy to wear when I sleep. Amazingly, my headaches went away when I started wearing it.)

Music. I have about 30 cds that I want to bring, so I will probably get one of those little notebook cd-carrying thingummies to put them all in and just leave all the cases here.

I received email from Sally, my HSM (Honorary Step-Mother), telling me that she had been planning on serving me liver and brussel sprouts for dinner while I was in Seattle, but now she was going to have to completely redo the menu since she didn't want to scrape it off the cushions afterwards.
