The stages of story-writing at Clarion: Idea: "Hey, I got this totally cool idea while I was washing my socks! This is gonna totally rock!" Formation: "It's still a really cool idea, but I don't know if everyone's going to follow the story. But, I think it's gonna work anyway." Creation: "This thing is a pain in the ass. It's not working the way I'd expected it to. I don't know if it's going to make sense." Submission: "This thing sucks. I hate it. It's not at all what I was wanting to do. But I had 17 minutes of sleep last night and this piece of shit is getting turned in no matter what." * * * * * So, I finished my story, and I am turning it in this morning. I did get more than 17 minutes of sleep last night though. * * * * * Yesterday was Massage Day. Tom (I can't remember his last name! Akk!), a former Clarioner, brought his nifty massage chair up to our lounge and gave everyone fifteen minutes of massage. (We had a sign up sheet.) It was nice. |
