Well some of our plans got changed. We were unable to go see Cirque du Soleil, much to our regret. When Kent called to make reservations, he was told that it was sold out--and that he would have had to call 1-3 months in advance to get seats. Argg! Oh Well. However, we drove out to the coast anyway, and Kent got the chance to see some of our good ole Southern thunderstorm action. We drove along the coast, past the various casinos (including the one I work at) and then took a side trip to the place where I originally got my navel pierced to buy a new piece of navel jewelry. It's a barbell-shape this time, instead of a ring, and it has a dark red stone in the bottom half. I think it's pretty nifty.

We then drove over to the new casino on the coast, the Beau Rivage--which I had not yet seen. I don't gamble much, if any. I know the odds and I know you really can't win. However, I did put $20 on the craps table to kinda show Kent how it's done, and managed to stay for about half an hour before losing $15 of it. I think that's the first time I've gambled in about a year and a half. I expect I won't do it again for about that same length of time. Silly business.

And Zeus has definitely taken to Kent. He's delighted to have found another person who will play with him. I think this pic shows nicely how the order of dominance has shaken out in the household.

And speaking of the Dog, he's starting another obedience class on Monday. I haven't been able to hook up with the K9 cop from Gulfport yet. However, I got a call yesterday from the same woman who had taught the basic obedience class that Zeus had taken a few months ago, and she told me she was starting an advanced obedience class. So I went ahead and signed Zeus up. It isn't the specific aggression training that he eventually needs, but I figure this certainly can't hurt, and will keep him occupied. And if I ever do get the chance to arrange something with this cop, I'll just try and work it around this other class. We'll just have to see how it all works out.

So, this is Kent's last day here. We've kindof been slugs the past couple of days, not doing anything really planned. We went and worked out yesterday, so we're both nicely sore. (Trying to make up a bit for the massive quantities of eating we've been doing.) I've pretty much decided though that Thursday I'm going to Get Serious about the dieting portion of my fitness plan, and try to get rid of this lovely layer of fat that is covering all of the muscle that I have laboriously packed onto my frame.

And I'm also going to make Kent take a gajillion pictures of me and the dog, so I'll have plenty of pics to inflict on all of you in the coming days.
