Is my posting an entry a sign of the apocolypse?

Anyway, I've been either lazy or busy, and thus no entries. Beginning of June was the trip with Mom to Europe. Fun trip and lots to see, but it was pretty exhausting overall. We were on the go pretty constantly and sleep was in short supply. As a result, when I got back from Europe I came down with the Plague, which took about a week to knock out. Then, last weekend I was sent to Tucson, AZ with four coworkers to attend a Stalking/Cyberstalking/Domestic Violence conference. The conference was attended mostly by prosecutors and advocates, and I learned that Men Are Evil and are always at fault. Now, I'm a woman and all that, but I think that kind of reasoning is a load of crap, and my coworkers (all male, by the way) also thought it was a load of crap. We also found out that Everything is the Police's fault, because the police are lazy, ignorant, and uncaring.

Ya gotta love it. Needless to say we didn't much care for the conference and thought it was a colossal waste of time and money. The one main redeeming feature was the fact that we were in an incredibly nice hotel: The Westin La Paloma Spa and Resort. Wow. Easily the Nicest hotel I have ever stayed at.

Then, after returning from the conference I was busy catching up on all the cases that had been piling up in my various absences.

Oh, and there was that other little matter to plan as well.

You know... that wedding thing..?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I'm getting married. Next Saturday.

Go figure! LOL

As for the title of this entry, Jack's oldest daughter gave birth to a 7 lb 11 oz baby boy this afternoon. After we get married I will have 5 stepkids and two step grandkids!
