The crimson tide is about to make its appearance, so I'm retaining water -- no biggie. Between eating more and busting my butt on the book, I feel really good about everything, even the abrupt drop in the temps. Yes, I know -- it's November, it was bound to get cold sometime, but we just had a front move in and DAMN, it's brisk out there. Lyndon loves it -- he was bred for this kind of weather. And I have to admit that it's putting me in a holiday mood -- I would kill or die to go to Chicago for Christmas this year, but we just can't afford it. Well, maybe some kindly company will need a buttload of web designing done in the next couple of weeks -- if I can get the week off between the holidays, we could easily drive up there (yeah, it's 19 hours, but that means we could also stop off and see Patrick).
Hmm -- perhaps I should speak to Lyndon about this. I did promise him that we'd go to England for Christmas next year, come hell or high water, and he loves going to Chicago for the holidays. . .
