The first author I would like to recomend to all that visit here is Anne McCaffrey. I have been a long time fan of her Pern and Rowen series.

The second author is Marion Zimmer Bradley. The first book I read by her was "The Mists of Avalon." I also really love here Darkover series.

A short story writer I think the world of is Vera Nazarian. One of her shorts can be found in Sword and Sorceress #15. Well worth the investment for hours of reading pleasure.
