CHRISTOPHER MCKITTERICK1964 LINCOLN RESTORATION PROJECT |
|
THE FIRST THING that needed fixing was the carburetion. I removed and rebuilt the seriously gunked-up carb, gave it a complete tune-up, changed the sludgey oil, and performed all the other usual maintenance tasks one needs to do for a vehicle that's never really been driven much and has been sitting for far too long. Then we blew a head gasket. The appeal of the car having low mileage was starting to fade. It's better for any machine to have been used and properly maintained than to have sit idle for too long. |
