I’ve been writing science fiction and fantasy since I was twelve, occasionally submitting my stories to magazines. At Millennium Philcon I went fangirl over George Scithers and told him I’d loved his rejection slips when I was a kid. He responded, “What have you been doing since then?” A few years later, I was startled to discover that, among other things, I had spent nearly twenty years working at almost every job on the other side of publishing, from editorial assistant to typesetting.

Now, it’s mostly writing and looking after my daughter.

My first sale is a fantasy story, “The Witch of Westmoreland Avenue.” It was bought by Julie Czerneda, a wonderful writer and editor. The story will be published in the fantasy anthology MISSPELLED, to be released sometime in 2008.
