How do you know other human beings are intelligent? They act that way (like you), of course. But how can you be sure?

You can't. And there are instructions on how to seem intelligent: keep your mouth shut, nod occasionally, say "Hmmm" once in awhile.

Or as politicians will tell you: "In this business, you have to be sincere. Once you learn to fake that, you've got it made."
