As much as I'd like to be, I'm not perfect. The information given in this site is not
the last word in medicine--and I'm not trying to make it that. So, in this section, I'm
giving links to both my personal reference material (the books and websites that let
me create this website), and to supplementary information (websites that specialize, as
opposed to my generalizations). Happy searching.
Tae: The Paramedic from Hell
If you need scenarios for CharacterPain (tm), or just want a taste of the Emergency
Medical Service life, then Tae H. (no relation to Harry) Kim's anecdotes are without
peer. He practices perfect EMS, and gives great descriptions. "Although"
and "Been" are amazing.
Bob and Morty
It was this site that I came up with the Adventures. Bob, the best Emergency Medical
Technician in the world, and Morty, his less-than-wonderful partner, guide you through
Choose Your Own Adventure-style medical scenarios. Bob practices perfect EMS, and
the scenarios are as educational as they are entertaining.
The Phobia List
While this site doesn't go into much depth when it comes to why phobias occur and
how to treat them, it does give the official terms for any number of phobias (including
fanfic-worthy ones like 'the fear of imperfection' and 'the fear of leaving safety').
